Singtel Retention Team had made a offer to retain me as one of their loyal customers. I have made many offers previously via their social media like Twitter or online chat agent to give me a better offer than the current promotion. They will hold on to their stand of the current promotion plan only.
Therefore I decide to give a last shot by sending an email before deciding to move to Starhub. Finally their retention team comes with a better offer. I can have the Singtel Fibre Entertainment Bundle Plan (200 Mbps) at $79.90 net inclusive of Family Starter Pack and 2 years of free Mio Recordable Set-Top Box. They will also replace with a new modem & router. If I choose the 300 Mbps at $69.90 then they will not replace the router for me. Therefore I opt to pay $10 extra per month for the higher speed and new equipment.
Singtel should always give a better offer to loyal customers seeking re-contract and not similar to new customers. But of course they are some customers who will not re-contract but just let their plan run until the equipment break down. Are you one of that customers or like me seeking a better deal?

The delivery of the MacDonald Hello Kitty are been send out from 27 July to 15 August 2015. They will only made 2 attempts to the designated delivery address. If you missed the 1st attempt like me then you are in some hard luck.
They will made the first delivery without giving you any notification in advance. Other logistic companies will call you 1 hour before they made their way to your delivery address. I wonder is it that MacDonald under pay them on the logistic fees.

But be prepare as nobody may even answer your email within the next working days.
The call centre is also not professional as they refuse to give you a schedule date and just briefly mentioned that it will be send between now and 15 August and she decline to give a date. Please call the Dpex contact centre at 6543 9110 to reschedule the next delivery. There will not tell you on the spot but just mention that someone will call you for the next delivery date.
I would give Dpex contact centre staff a rating of 2 out of 5. It is definetly not a logistic company I would select for my personal or business use.
I was returning home after work as usual at Yishun MRT at around 7PM. I reach the platform and saw both the north and south bound trains at the platform. The doors were open and only have 50% of the lighting. I board the north bound train thinking that there is no issue with the train.
It is actually the start of the major MRT breakdown of 2015. The train captain update that the power track had some issue and the engineers were rectifying the issue. He keep repeating the announcements periodically to update the passengers.
Cabin lights are only 50% switch on.

No free bus bridging available yet and communters choose to take whatever services is available to their next destination.
This is the first time that all the North South and East West LInes are down at the same time.
I manage to catch service 169 to Woodlands and then changing to 964 to reach my final destination at Admiralty MRT. It was a 1.5 hours journey with so much communters catching bus back home for dinner. Many of our muslim friends also need to break fast outside instead of at home with their family.
SMRT announce on July 08 that they wanted to stop the train services between 1100hrs to 1600hrs on North South Line as they have not identified the root cause. The time table for the affected lines are as listed below.

After two long years of waiting the USS Battlestar Galactica is finally open after going through all the safety inspections. The USS Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN Vs CYCLONE Roller Coaster was offically reopen on the 27 May 2015.
The attraction ride was closed on 21 Jul 2013 and RWS only cited attraction review as the main reason. There is no comments on why the organisation close it. They slowly allowed the market and visitors to accept the fate as times pass by. The most obvious reason is the safety of the equipment. WHY? The seat was redesigned and my thoughts is that it had undergone many testing before it is opened. The seat had been change from 4 seaters to 2 seaters. This will provide more space for the rider and extra features to enhanced the safety of the seats. This testing are done out of the views of the visitors, probably when the attraction park are closed after the day.
It is great that they have reopen once again just before the Singapore School closed for their June Holidays. This might overtake Transformer as the hottest ride in the park. But yet Transformer has its edge as it is suitable for kids also. Let’s see whether USS Battlestar can unseat Transformer as the No. 1 ride in USS (Singapore).
The lead times to get a specialist or DDR appointments in Singapore is 1 to 6 months. This applies to subsidize patients in general. If you are a private patients, you will get a appointment within 1 week to 4 weeks. The reason is obvious as priority will be given to private patients as they pay the full rates.
But subsidize patients demand for shorter lead times is rising in Singapore especially with the younger generation. But they had ignore the financial portion. They are only able to get faster lead time unless they are a private patients. Healthcare institutions on the other hand are also trying hard to improve the lead times for subsidize patients if it is within their means.
Missed Appointments
Every time an appointment is missed by the patients, an opportunity is lost to see another patient. This will increase the lead times and the healthcare staffs will lose the productivity time.
Every patients must stick to their appointment or call in at least 2 weeks to cancel prior to their appointment. This will give the clinical operations an opportunity to assign this timing to others who may turn up and shorten the lead time for their patients.
Subsidize patients like us have to be realistic in this type of healthcare model. Taxpayers are paying for the subsidize patients and you are one of them also. You will realize how expensive it is if you are paying the full rate. The government are now building more hospitals to reduce the lead time at outpatient specialist centers.

I participate in the Operation We Clean Up 2015 as member of co-organizing Green Committee of Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. We organize the event together with the Nee Soon Community Club.
There were more than 100 participants from the hospital doing their part for the community.
We start off with a warm up exercise before setting off to do little picking to clean up the Nee Soon area.
Imagine the amount of rubbish either recycle or normal we collected at the end of the 1 hour event.

My EA account was hack recently and they gain access to my account without myself realizing it. EA also have a weak protocol to identify the account holder. It was when I read my email that I realize someone was using my account to talk to EA customer service.
I regain control of my account from EA and apply the 2 factor authentication straight away. Every time, you sign in with your user name and password, a sms code will be send to your mobile phone. The account can only be access when this code is enter. This is really a fool proof method as far as till today.
Many website now support 2 factor authentication through mobile phone or hardware token. All banks in Singapore are now using 2 factor authentication. The only person who can break this fool proof plan is your closet family member or friends.
Today is 立春day for the Chinese. You can find them queuing up at bank counters and cash deposit machines. The Chinese believe it is an auspicious day to put money in bank and their account will always be filled with money. Sometimes other races of Singapore also join in.

Kampung Admiralty work site has been taken over by the main contractor, Lum Chang. Lum Chang has made the surrounding very nice but forget about the welfare of their workers.
You do not see a resting point build for the workers. So where do they rest during their lunch or break time?
The void deck of Blk 673 & 672 is the place where they take their meal and have a place to sleep during their break time. I shall not complaint or they will not have such a nice place under the shade to have their meal and rest. Lum Chang must appreciate the hard work of these foreigners and provide them a good rest place and not affecting the lifestyle of the HDB dewellers.
Yishun Interchange will be demolished to make way for the NorthPoint City and North Park Residences. The North Park Residences will be expensive as it sits on a prime land and is suitable for the upper middle class family. But the NorthPoint City will be a good development for Yishun as it is for all the residents in the northern area.

The SMRT North and Sound Bound Train Service is affected again during the night time when people are returning from work.
This time it affects Newton and Marina Bay in both directions. Bus bridging services has been activated. It is the 2nd time in September where the NS line has broken down again.
Now LTA announce no services towards Jurong East and it is going to impact more people going back home after a hard day of work.
Preventive Maintenance is important and we have a lot of lessons to learn from Japan. It is time to employed more Singaporeans to learn the rolling stock.

SMRT Train is facing down time issue on the south bound services between Toa Payoh and Marina Bay. LTA app, My Transport has sent out the alert to all users who have installed the application. It is available on both iPhone & Android.
Bus Bridging services is available for the affected commuters. The engineer team are progressively resuming the service. It comes at a bad time where passengers are returning to home to rest after a hard day of work.
