Two new POSB ATMs has been installed at the corner of Kampung Admiralty at Level 1. It is near to the H&L Life Store (#01-07).
This is to replace the loss of POSB ATMs at Admiralty Place which had been closed down for renovation.

Dumpling Festival June 2019
Kampung Admiralty held the Dumpling Festival to allow the Chinese residents at Admiralty to bond.
It also attracts the resident of other ethnic and nationalities to join in the celebration. People get to participate in the competition to attain the best dumpling. There were songs to entertain the crowd. It was a short celebration but eventful for the Admiralty residents.
Kampung Admiralty has change the way we live and reinvent the kampung spirit where residents get together in the community plaza.
Blk 673 Pump Room Alarm
The alarm was trigger at about 610am his morning. It is bearable for me as I can hear it if I am at the living room. I think it will affect level 2 to 5 more for those that live directly above the pump room like mine. Hence, I decided to call the EMU this morning (620am) so that the technician can investigate the problem further.
The alarm stop ringing at 640am.
BLk 673 Pump Room Alarm
The alarm had went off this morning after 7am when I was about to went to work. I have send a email to Sembawang Town Council in the morning. They have checked and rectified the matter according to their email update at 5pm.
The alarm occur again after 9pm and stopped at 920pm.
I have send an email to the town council as this may be an intermittent alarm with the system.
Kampung Admiralty Hawker Centre Maintenance July 2018
Kampung Admiralty Hawker Centre will be closed on 23 and 24 July for 2 days. Cleaning and maintenance works will be carry out to upkeep the hawker centre.
You may visit the nearby NTUC FoodFare Foodcourt, McDonald, KFC and eateries at the Admiralty MRT.

Kampung Admiralty Open Plaza Update #07
I have finally find out the rationale behind not closing the rain screen. It is a joint decision of all parties to keep it open regardless of rain or shine. It will only be closed when event are held at the open plaza. In fact, it should be closed during rainy days as the wet floor may posed a safer hazards to the senior citizens. It will contribute to higher risk of fall by the elderly.
It is not fully automatic as there is no rain sensor to activate it to close. The FCC need to activate it at their control centre.

Kampung Admiralty Open Plaza Update #06
Kampung Admiralty had many awards but there are also pending issues awaiting to be resolved. The open plaza sky light canopy is not automatic and pose an issue during rainy day.
The open plaza is wet again as the sky light canopy did not closed. It needs manual intervention which still awaiting HDB to resolve it.
It is a safety issues and may result in senior citizen having a fall. It is not evident that anyone is following up on this case as outstanding since Oct 2017.
Kampung Admiralty Escalator B1 to L1 Updates #01
The Service Team was on site on 16 & 17 Jan trying to rectify the problem. It looks like it was not an easy task as a lot of man hours had been put in. This is consider a relatively new escalator as run time is only less than 6 months. The repair had been completed and open for public usage.
The quality of escalator is very important. Fujitec and Kone usually can rectify their escalator in a timely manner. They only spend more man days when doing preventive maintenance. HDB need to review the operation and quality of IFE before they made subsequent purchase for their other projects or have alternative suppliers.

It looks like there is no urgency to repair the open canopy system.
Admiralty residents will need to adapt to the Kampung Admiralty raining Open Plaza.

Nothing had been done to the canopy system. It is unable to close when the rain starts.
It looks like there is no action being carry out by the maintenance team. UEMS can only allowed the Kampung Admiralty open plaza becoming a raining plaza. It may have receive multiple awards but this auto system still failed to work.
Woodlands Ring Secondary Principal Address
Today is the first principal address to the students and parents. It was a fruitful one hour presentation as we discover WRS school management and nurturing our child.
The principal made it very clearly that WRS facility is not as good as the other schools in Woodlands like Evergreen or Woodgrove. I have email MOE hoping that they will have plans to improve the facility and have a more conducive environment for the students. You can play a part also if your child is in this school
The school is still the top three choices during the S1 exercise. This is due to the school management and its good location for residents in Admiralty.
The below is how they will be graded in the first year
- Term 1 CA Test (15%)
- Term 2 CA Test (15%)
- Term 3 CA Test (15%)
- Final Year Exam (45%)
- Performance Task (10%)
You will have noticed that they do not have mid year exams unlike most of the main stream secondary schools.
Let’s hope my son will have an enjoyable 4 years in this school. He will be able to walk out of the gates with a good character and acceptable results.

Kampung Admiralty Open Plaza Update #03
It was another rainy day and the open canopy system is not function or failed to close in time.
UEMS had place signage to notify the public the floor is wet. I believe the HDB as the main agency should lead in ensuring the system function. I wonder whether our MP, Mr Amrin can resolve the issue for the resident 🤔.

Kampung Admiralty Open Plaza Update #2
It looks like nobody ready care that the open plaza is raining during wet days. There is impact on safety for the children and senior citizen.
Every time it rains, UEMS will place the safety cones. The Open Plaza is not safe during wet days and you may get wet also.

It is still an unresolved outstanding issue at Kampung Admiralty.
UEMS will need to deploy a lot of wet sign boards in order to keep the public safe from the wet and slippery grounds.

The Kampung Admiralty Roof Top gardens are built up and landscaping are in the progress.
These plants will reduce the heat gain of the building. Maintenance is important else the roots may penetrate through any gaps in the concrete or roofing system.

The Kampung Admiralty structure are forming up the skyline of Admiralty. The lift enclosure had already been built. M&E services are also in the progress of installation.
